Summary

Presented by practitioners on the frontlines of nationwide litigation, this presentation will review the principal components of first-party property coverage with respect to losses associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, including, but not limited to: What constitutes "direct physical loss or damage" (and variants) to property; virus exclusions; business interruption issues; denial of access issues; and communicable disease endorsements. It will include a comprehensive look at myriad judicial decisions on all sides of the issue and provide projections on when, where and how those issues might ultimately be resolved in Ohio and nationally.
