Summary

Course Description:

This course is designed to deepen participants' understanding of the expertise required in premises liability matters. The course begins with an overview of the legal foundation for premises liability claims and its relevance to proper claim investigation. While it covers classic slip, trip, and fall claims, it also addresses why certain premises matters may necessitate specialized expertise. Participants will review various types of liability claims, delve into the causes of these accidents, and examine the responsibilities of property owners. The course concludes with a discussion on selecting experts, differentiating between “consulting experts” and “testifying experts,” and the criteria for expert disqualification.
